Create Greater Housing Access to End Homelessness!

We are actively looking to build our Housing Empowerment network!

Current Housing Access Barriers

Rent is rising and so is inflation, which means the barriers and conditions of entry to housing are almost impossible for people experiencing homelessness, who are trying to become renters again.

Landlords generally request that renters have

  1. a steady job and income;

  2. are able to advance a 1-2 month deposit plus the first month of rent;

  3. normally prefer women and families;

  4. and no pets,

These conditions are initially unrealistic demands for people about to end their state of homelessness.

*The HousingAnywhere International Rent Index report for Q3 2022 shows that European rental prices have increased by a staggering 16.5% over the past year and a quarterly increase of 3.5% during what used to be the typical rental peak season.

Program’s Ecosystem

Accommodation: Apartments

The future renter, who has successfully graduated stage 1 of our HELP Program and demonstrated his or her commitment as a hard-working, trustworthy, law-abiding citizen, is the perfect candidate for many landlords.

Our Housing Empowerment Program also addresses 3 of the biggest concerns landlords have about renting their apartment 1) tenants who stop paying rent 2) tenants who break the lease early and 3) property damage by liaising with both the landlord and renter if any issues arise.

Corporations & Individuals

Corporations that generate profit have the opportunity to invest in their community by facilitating housing access, which will ultimately empower people out of poverty by giving them the initial push over a seemingly impossible hurdle that will allow them to start their new job and keep it.

Individuals with greater discretionary income also have the opportunity to support local citizens, who want to become active, working citizens, by helping them with their deposit and first month’s rent, too.

Local NGOs

Local NGOs have the opportunity to participate by inviting beneficiaries of theirs to join Homeless Entrepreneur’s community. All of their beneficiaries are welcomed to contact our Homeless Helpline, participate in our Homeless Voices Program and apply for our HELP Program.

The local NGO beneficiaries who are accepted in our HELP Program are eligible to apply to our Housing Empowerment Program, which also foments a stronger PPP network that benefits all stakeholders.

Local Governing Bodies

Local governing bodies have the opportunity to participate by inviting social service beneficiaries of theirs to join Homeless Entrepreneur’s community. All of their beneficiaries are welcomed to contact our Homeless Helpline, participate in our Homeless Voices Program and apply for our HELP Program.

The social service beneficiaries who are accepted in our HELP Program are eligible to apply to our Housing Empowerment Program (HEP), which also foments a stronger PPP network that benefits all stakeholders. Collaborating with HEP reduces administration costs, beneficiary and social worker stress and shortens the waiting list for current homeless housing facilities, which are funded by local administration.
