Hello to all that are reading this right now. My name is Nathan (or Natan, enEspanol) Aponte and I am a current expat here in the amazing country of Spain. I landed in Barcelona about two months ago to follow my entrepreneurial dream and escape a hostile living situation back in the states. Unfortunately, I had to live with a verbally abusive family member, and when I couldn’t take the harassment any more, I decided to fly the coup and head overseas.
With not much planning or forethought, I arrived with just the clothes on my back, a couple suitcases, a book bag, and a dream. With under $100 U.S. in my bank account, I quickly depleted everything in my savings. Only receiving 650 Euros a month from my Disability check, it is not possible to get my own apartment here in Barcelona and cover living expenses, such as groceries and hygiene products, not to mention the dreaded security deposit. Because of this predicament, unfortunately I am homeless, sleeping at the airport terminal for shelter. Thankfully, no one bothers me there.
My entrepreneurial dream is to start a news website about Spain called SpainReporter.com and cover all things news in Spain. I would also like to own a niche boutique hotel as soon as I can get access to the capital. If you would like to make a donation towards my efforts and get me off the streets, it would mean the world to me. Thank you for your time and reading this article.
