Financial Coach
Volunteer Description
A financial coach helps a person understand the basics of personal finance as well as develop and maintain healthy financial habits. His or her main job is to empower the homeless people in our programs to reach their financial goals and learn how to handle their finances responsibly.
The financial coach will advise people to control and improve their relationship with money as s/he focuses on reaching his/her financial objectives.
S/he will be responsible for the initial study, planning and monitoring of the people who enter the HELP program.
Works with managers within the HELP program.
Specific Tasks
Study, assess and diagnose financial situation of the Homeless Entrepreneurs.
Coach the Homeless Entrepreneur to improve his/her financial skills.
Create and present individual reports i.e. initial and progress report once a semester.
Monthly meeting with department managers.
Weekly Dedication
3 - 5 hours per week
Minimum Commitment
3 months
Main Objectives
Understand the economic situation of Homeless Entrepreneurs in the HELP Program and how they manage their finances.
Identify problems and needs, and guide the Homeless Entrepreneurs towards a healthier financial situation.
Improve financial literacy of Homeless Entrepreneurs.
